Aliah University has started its glorious journey from this academic session (2008-09) with great potential and immense opportunities. It is hoped that this university, harmonizing tradition and modernity, will emerge as a unique institution of higher studies and research. As per Aliah University Act 2007, Section 3 (3), it has been conferred the status of a minority educational institution. Therefore, it is hoped that along with the people of any race, creed, caste or class, this University will play a crucial and leading role in the advancement of higher education for socially and educationally backward classes belonging to the Minorities
Academic Programmes of the University :

Aliah University has started its academic programmes from the current academic session (2008-2009). It offers the following courses:
  1. 5-year integrated M.A. in Arabic (with a provision of dual degree, 3-year B.A. Hons. + 2-year M.A.);
  2. 5-year integrated M.A. in Islamic Theology (with a provision of dual degree, 3-year B. A. Hons. + 2-year M.A.). (Equivalent to the combination of the existing 3-year Kamil (UG) course and the MM (PG) course).
  3. 5-year integrated M.Sc in Computer Science (3-year B. Sc.(H) + 2-year M. Sc.)
  4. 5-year integrated MCA (3-year BCA(H) + 2-year MCA.)
  5. 5-year integrated MBA (3-year BBA(H) + 2-year MBA ( with specialization in HR, Marketing, Hospital Management, Retail Management, Systems & Finance).
  6. 2-Year M.Sc. in Media Science (Journalism & Mass communication).
Among these, the last four courses are being conducted in collaboration with Techno India Group, a pioneer in the development of Education, Research and Entrepreneurship in Science, Technology, Medicine and Management.
