The Calgary Islamic School is an accredited Alberta Learning Facility. They teach the curriculum developed by the Alberta Government - the same as that taught in the public and charter schools.They also go leaps beyond - "Faith, Knowledge and Creativity" - three words that summarize their objectives with their students additional programming! In addition to the regular curriculum they also cover an Arabic Language curriculum, an Islamic Studies curriculum and Quran recitation and memorization curriculum.

The Calgary Islamic School (CIS) operates as a private school within the greater Calgary Community, primarily serving Muslim students from Kindergarten (KG) to grade 9. In an Islamic environment, the CIS emphasizes high academic achievement that is based on the prescribed Alberta Education’s Curriculum, Islamic Studies and Arabic as a Second Language.
