Dayton Islamic school started in 1985 as a part time school with 25 students and grew to 125 students in ten years. The Islamic Society of Greater Dayton, who housed the school, joined hands with the Greater Dayton Islamic Foundation and built the present Muslim Community Center facility.
Vision:
     They incorporate Islamic values and traditions as part of developing an Islamic environment. Parent participation in the educational process of their children is an important part of our educational Philosophy. Zuhr prayer is conducted in congregation each day.
Curriculum:
  1. Their curriculum follows Ohio Department of Education academic content standards for grades k-8 and is tailored to meet the developmental levels of the children in each academic program.
  2. Their Learning center program promotes growth in social and emotional skills, physical coordination and cognitive preparation for children ages 3-5. The elementary level stresses a strong academic emphasis on Language Arts, Science, Math, and Social Studies. Art and physical education are provided at all levels.
  3. Their Islamic Curriculum nurtures the social, moral, and religious development of each child through the study of Qur'an, Islamic Studies, and Arabic.
