IDCA Quran School is now in its fifth year of operation and al-humdulliah this year sees their biggest enrolment, currently standing at 90. The Quran school runs a customed designed syllabus that is covered over 5 years and takes children with little or no knowledge of Arabic in Year 1 to Year 5, when they are able to read the Quran with confidence applying the correct tajweed rules. The course emphasis is on correct pronunciation of the Arabic letters and understanding and recognising basic tajweed rules and applying these in recitation. Memorisation of the Quran is also a very important part of children's Islamic education and the Quran School places a great importance on this.
