INDIA, UTTAR PRADESH ; Course on 'Islamic Banking and Finance'
The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has decided to begin a course on 'Islamic Banking and Finance', the first such course in India. The “interest free banking course” is to be based upon the norms of 'Shariah' (Islamic rules on transaction).
A.M.U. offers more than 250 courses in traditional and modern branches of education. Admissions to all the faculties are made on the basis of rules framed by the Academic Council for each faculty and for each course. For the sake of admissions the University recognizes only the Public Examinations of various Boards and Universities.
